It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Mary Arlene Odegaard, 82, — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Behind every name is a life, and behind every life are the people who loved it.

The story begins in 1929, with the arrival of a life that would be cherished by many.

Mary spent her working life as ['various places as a cook'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

A life of many years is a life of many gifts to those who knew it.
