Karen Van Hove, 68 of rural Freeman, SD died Monday, March 21, 2016 at her home under hospice care. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Karen Ann Van Hove was born on May 9, 1947 at Sioux Falls, SD to Norman and Joyce (Lane) Enstrom. After graduating from Washington High School she was united in marriage to Merlyn Van Hove on November 7, 1965 at Sioux Falls. They have lived in the Freeman area since 1970 where she has been employed in nursing homes and long term care facilities. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Merlyn; 3 sons, Adam, Jay (Hazel), and Lee; 2 grandchildren; a brother Floyd; and 3 sisters Susie, Sharon, and Ruthie.
