Bonnie Hansen, 100, of Parker, SD has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Born in 1925, Bonnie began a life that would touch many along the way.
Bonnie held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Bonnie Hansen, 100 of Parker, passed away on January 15, 2026 at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home, Viborg. Memorial services will be held in the summer. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.Bonnie Bernice (Timm) Hansen was born to Edward and Mary (Fritz) Timm on June 20, 1925. She graduated from Parker High School in 1943 and was married to Doyle R. Hansen on December 17, 1944. Doyle preceded her in death from acute leukemia in December 1976.Bonnie assisted Doyle as a bookkeeper in the Home Oil Company and also was a teacher's aide in the Parker Elementary School. She then spent 22 years as a secretary in the Turner County Extension Office before retiring in 1997. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Parker; VFW Auxiliary and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.Survivors include her sons Jeff (Page) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Bruce (Wendy) of Parker; 3 grandchildren Taya (Ben) Schultze of Maple Grove, MN, Layne Hansen of Robbinsdale, MN, and Jason (Danielle) Hansen of Greensville, SC; 2 step-grandchildren Jean (Francis) Pereira of Staunton, VA and Andy (Marlene) Mayfield of Mill Valley, CA; 4 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren Lukas & Nora Schultze, Jordan &Brooklyn Hansen, Esther, Andrew & Tirzah Pereira, and Xander & Carissa Mayfield.
