What follows is written with love, by those who knew her best.

Born in 1918, Esther began a life that would touch many along the way.

Esther was witness to a great deal of change — and shaped some of it.

Esther C. Weeldreyer, 95 died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Calvary Reformed Church, Monroe with burial in Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation at the Tieszen Memorial Home will be from 3-4pm Wednesday and begin at 5:00pm Wednesday at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Cornelia Esther Langerock was born on December 16, 1918, at Monroe, SD, to William and Mae (VanderWel) Langerock. She grew up near Monroe where she attended District 13 School. On December 2, 1937, she was united in marriage to John Weeldreyer south of Monroe. They farmed in the Parker area until 1975. She was an active member of Calvary Reformed Church, was a past member of an Extension Club, and liked to bake, cook, and give to others. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, handiwork, and her family meant the world to her. For the past 15 years she lived at Marion. Grateful for having shared her life are 2 sons, Jerry (Priscilla) and Terry (Doreen), all of Parker; 2 daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Borgers, Marion and Darla (Doug) Buseman, Parker; 10 grandchildren, Dawn (Dave) Andera, Denise (Jeff) Gunn, Lyndale (Christi) Borgers, Gary (Cindy) Borgers, Machelle (Steve) Henneberry, Eric (Kristi) Buseman, Garrett (Brittany) Weeldreyer, Molly (Dan Moline) Weeldreyer, Jenni Weeldreyer, and Tessa Weeldreyer; 14 great grandchildren, Amber (Andy) Hanisch, Jordyn (Ciarán Kelly) Palm, Caitlin Palm, Shelby, Sarah, William, and Tyler Borgers, Cody, Hayden, and Joshua Henneberry, Kaleb, Logan, and Dylan Buseman, and coming soon Mckinlee Weeldreyer; and 4 sisters-in- law, Verna Langerock, Marion, Florence Weeldreyer, Sioux Falls, Dorothy Weeldreyer, Sioux Falls, and Alice Weeldreyer, Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John in 1987; 6 brothers, Cornelius, Bert, Francis, Harold, Earl, and Glen; and 3 sisters, Marietta, Margaret, and Lois.
