Born in 1965, Scott began a life that would touch many along the way.
There are losses that teach us the weight of a life.
Scott Begeman, 58 died Monday, July 8, 2024 at Good Samaritan Luther Manor after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 1:30pm Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home in Parker with burial at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm Sunday at the funeral home. For livestreaming go to www.facebook.com/HofmeisterJonesFuneralHome/. Scott Stewart Begeman was born on August 18, 1965 to Marvin and Ramona (Versteeg) Begeman. He attended school in Parker, graduating in 1984. Scott was a proud member of the basketball program in Parker and often spoke of the half-court shot he made vs Canistota. Scott continued working on the family farm north of Parker assisting with the dairy operation. Scott enjoyed bowling and attending many basketball games to cheer on his nephews, Matt and Mitch. Scott was also the keeper of the family data, birthdays, phone numbers, anniversaries, special moments, etc..he was also a big fan of the Minnesota Twins, watching or listening to almost every game. Grateful for having shared his life are 3 siblings, Mike (Gale) Begeman, Sioux Falls, Jeff (Monica) Begeman, Ponte Vedra, FL and Rochelle (Shane) Hyde, Pierre, SD; 4 nephews and 3 nieces, Matt (Monica), Mitch (Katy), Jordan (Caroline), Justin, Christina, Tara and Paige; 11 great nephews and nieces, Mason and Mavrick Begeman, Berklee and Brock Begeman, James, Blake, Nolan and Collins Begeman, River and Kimber Mitchell and Aria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ramona Begeman in 2020.
