Born in 1955, Jeanene began a life that would touch many along the way.
Jeanene spent her working life as ['Norwest Bank and then Wells Fargo Bank where she met many wonderful friends'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Parenthood is the slow work of love. Jeanene did it well.
Jeanene Joy Kasten, age 62, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away on January 7, 2018 surrounded by loved ones, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Jeanene was born on June 27, 1955 to Gene and Royalene (Vietor) Kasten. She grew up in Parker, SD, graduating from Parker High School in 1973. She worked for Norwest Bank and then Wells Fargo Bank where she met many wonderful friends. Jeanene was a very kind, upbeat and positive person even during her illness. Jeanene loved to quilt and spend time with her family and friends --- especially Wild Wendt Women Weekend, WALI, and Runamuck. She is preceded in death by her parents. Jeanene is survived by her husband, Tim Helseth, her step children, Kevin, Bill(Julie), Jennifer(Garrett), and Tim Jr(Melinda), grandchildren, great grandchildren, two brothers Glenn Kasten and Kent Kasten, extended family and many good friends. She was a great friend and sister and will be missed by all who knew her. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Parker in the spring. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Foundation, Animal Humane Society, Hope Lodge, Mothers Healing Garden, or a charity of your choice.
