Phyllis entered this world in 1931 — the start of a journey that would span 90 years.
There are stories only long lives can tell. We are grateful for her.
Phyllis Jean Rang, 89 died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Ava's Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Monday, May 3, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday at the funeral home. You are invited to participate in Phyllis' funeral virtually. Phyllis Jean was born on November 14, 1931 at Balaton, MN to Herman and Lola (Hines) Habeck. After graduating from Worthington High School in 1949 she was married to Morris Kramer in 1950. They farmed in the Rushmore and Slayton, MN area until she moved to Sioux Falls in 1969. She was employed as a sales representative for EJ Brack's Candy where she traveled to stores across South Dakota. After a 15 year career she retired in 1991. In 2007 she was united in marriage to Bill Rang. Together they shared a love of ballroom dancing. They traveled to Europe, New York, Arizona and West Palm Beach. During the winter months they enjoyed living as snowbirds in Texas. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Bill; 7 children, Steven (Joy) Kramer, Mesa, AZ, Brian Kramer, MN, Gloria (Norm) Rons, Sioux Falls, Wanda Sampica, Golden Valley, AZ, Kathy Jackson, Davenport, IA, Tim (Mary) Kramer, Sioux Falls, and Rod (Pam) Kramer, Sioux Falls; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and a great greatgrandchild; Bills children, Kathy (Tom) Williams, Eden Prairie, MN and Don (Janeen) Rang, Parker, and 3 grandchildren; a brother Donald (Patty) Habeck, Worthington, MN; and a sister Dyonne (Dale) Schultz, Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 children, Mary, Jeffery, Stanley and Ronnie Lee.
