Roger Knudsen, 64 of Parker, passed away on April 15, 2026. Memorial Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home.Roger Reed Knudsen, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend died on April 15, 2026, at his home in Parker, SD.Roger was born in Sioux Falls, SD on December 29, 1961, to Merlin and Agena (Freese) Knudsen. Roger was raised on a farm north of Parker and attended Parker Public School, graduating in 1980. Roger joined the US Navy in 1981 and served on the USS Josephus Daniels. Roger spent his working years as a heavy equipment operator in New Jersey.Roger's love the outdoors; fishing, hunting, walking, bike riding, snowmobiling, ATV riding and playing with his dogs; was shared with his father, brother Scott, his sons Roger and Doug, and his nephews. Roger was a carpenter and a skilled mechanic.Roger will be missed. He is survived by his sons Roger (Beth) and Douglas (Ruby);brothers Scott (Janelle) and Tim; sisters Elaine (Greg) Schimkat and Sheryl (David) Hamilton; sister-in-law Cynthia; nephews Jason, Taylor (Erin), Aaron and Josh (Samantha); nephew-in-law Bill Johns; nieces Rachel (Phil) Beskid, Kate (Bryan) Lindstrom and Christina; 14 grand-nieces and nephews; cousins Tad and Janet Flood and friend Jarvis Sanner.Roger is preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene Smith, brother Douglas and nis much loved niece Pam Johns.
