William "Bill" Georgeson, 72 died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home in Sioux Falls. Memorial services will be at 10:30am Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home, 57th and Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls with burial at St. Boniface/Idyllwilde Catholic Cemetery, Turkey Ridge, SD. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. William Wendell Georgeson was born on May 18, 1942 at Yankton, SD to Russell and Ardell (Brunner) Georgeson. He grew up in the Turkey Ridge area and graduated from Hurley High School. He started his career as a heavy equipment operator for his uncle with Landeen Construction and worked various road construction jobs for several years, including at the Big Stone Power Plant and the Irene road. He enjoyed going to auction sales and purchasing antiques which he resold at antique shops and flee markets. He was a Friend of Bill and member of AA for over 35 years. He enjoyed his Turkey Ridge friends, coyote and deer hunting. Grateful for having share his life are a brother Joe (Karon Wilson), Viborg; 3 sisters Carolyn (Richard) Cink and Marcia (Robert) Sunderman, Sioux Falls, and Donna (John) Merrick, Council Bluffs, IA; a sister in law, Linda Georgeson, Hurley; an aunt, Phyllis Friman, Lennox; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kenneth and Darrell, brother in law Norman, nephew Curt, and a niece Theresa Hutchison.
