The family of Phyllis Hagen, 80, announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

Born in 1936, Phyllis began a life that would touch many along the way.

Phyllis held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Faith gave Phyllis a place to stand, and a place to return to.

Phyllis Hagen, 80 died Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the United Methodist Church, Parker with burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation will be from 3-4pm Friday at the Tieszen Home Chapel in Marion and from 5-7pm Friday evening at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker with family present. Phyllis Ardell Hagen was born on February 14, 1936 at Parker, SD to Clarence and Lulu (Rogers) Hagen. She lived her entire life in the Parker area. On May 22, 2000 she was awarded an honorary diploma from Parker High School, as a member of the class of 1957. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Parker Senior Citizens Center. Phyllis could be found everyday at the counter of White Pharmacy having coffee and during the third week in August at the Turner County Fair. Grateful for having shared her life are her brother Carnel (Judy) Hagen, Kirkland, WA; sister Janice Ortman, Marion; 8 nieces and nephews, 6 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Roger, brother in law Albert Ortman, and a nephew Byron Thomas.
