Peggy M. Koller, 81, has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.

Born in 1934, Peggy began a life that would touch many along the way.

Peggy held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Faith is a quiet companion through a long life. Peggy's walked beside her.

Peggy Koller, 81 of Parker, died Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the United Methodist Church, Parker. Visitation with family present will be on Friday evening from 5-7pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Peggy Mahoney Koller was born on April 21, 1934 at Hurley, SD to Herbert and Gertrude (Weier) Mahoney. She lived her whole childhood in Hurley. On January 7, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert Koller at Luverne, MN. They lived and farmed by Parker, SD until 1960 when they moved to Sioux Falls. She was employed at Sears and the Galley restaurant until 1969 when they moved back to a farm south of Parker. They moved into Parker in 1988. Her husband Bob died on January 26, 2015. She was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church, loved to shop and have coffee with her friends, and play bridge. Grateful for having shared her life are 5 children, Laurie (Wally) Meyer, Westboro, WI, Robert Jr., Parker, Julie Koller Pilkington, Peoria, AZ, Thomas (Anita), Parker, and Kathy (Butch) Anderson, Gettysburg, SD; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and a sister Shirley (Ernie) Schallenkamp, Salem. SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, a brother in law Ray Sorensen, and 2 grandchildren.
